The European Breeders’ Fund has been announced as a partner in Destination Europe, joining Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM), Great British Racing International (GBRI) and the French Racing and Breeding Committee (FRBC).
In addition, German Thoroughbred Marketing has also joined Destination Europe as a junior partner in the strategic alliance.
Destination Europe launched recently as a joint initiative to showcase the very best that European racing and breeding has to offer with the aim of attracting investment from around the world. The five partners in Destination Europe will work together to position European racing as a global leader with an extensive targeted campaign of advertising, media and events.
Kerry Murphy, chief executive of the European Breeders’ Fund, commented: “The EBF has been working on behalf of the breeding industry for over 30 years and by joining forces with the Destination Europe team we will have a centralised platform to help promote the bloodstock of EBF member countries around the world. In pooling resources the Destination Europe partners can provide a cost effective way of highlighting the continued growth of European bloodstock.”
The EBF has allocated over €100,000,000 to the European racing industry over the last 30 years, funded predominantly by contributions from stallion owners in member countries. Founded in 1983 to provide a European counterpart to the recently launched Breeders’ Cup, its member countries include Britain, Ireland, France, and Germany.
