The British European Breeders’ Fund have teamed up with London based floral design company Roses Only to introduce some unique owners’ trophies for feature races in the EBF Breeders’ Series Fillies Handicaps.

Winning owners of EBF Breeders’ Series Handicaps at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, Salisbury’s Summer Holiday meeting and Doncaster’s St Ledger Meeting will all receive a bespoke boxed arrangement of Roses Only’s long stem roses.  The arrangements will also be used to celebrate the winners at the EBF Breeders’ Series Finals at Newmarket Racecourse on 7th October.

The first race where winning connections will receive this beautiful memento is the EBF Breeders’ Series Fillies Handicap at Goodwood on Wednesday which showcases a field of 16 fillies in a £30,000 contest, the penultimate race on the card on the second day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival.

Danielle Gubbay, Chief Executive of Roses Only commented:

“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to support the EBF Breeders’ Series; our pastel pink roses and these fillies are a perfect combination in my mind. I also have a deep love for horses, having ridden since I was six years old, so for me it’s a blend of my two passions! Even though I don’t have the pleasure of owning my own horses these days, I am very privileged to be able to ride out for the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment as a volunteer support rider for the Life Guards Squadron. I ride 3-4 mornings a week out of Hyde Park Barracks, Knightsbridge and I get to ride a few of my favourites. They’re big horses, so I’m glad they don’t have the speed of a racehorse!”

Rachael Gowland, Marketing & Communications Manager for the British EBF said:

“We are thrilled to start this partnership with Roses Only; the fit is perfect and it gives us the opportunity to provide a unique and beautiful memento of the races to the winning connections.  We hope that it will help highlight this valuable series and the opportunities it presents for the participating fillies.  We are very grateful to Danielle for her generous contribution and we hope it will be of equal benefit to Roses Only as it will to the British EBF.”
