Thu 22 Sep 2016

The European Breeders Fund has announced that from September 2016 there will be an additional opportunity to nominate a horse to the EBF. Any horse sired by a stallion standing within Europe that is not registered to the EBF can now be nominated at any age after 1st January of their 2yo year. The cost of this one off supplementary nomination is €12,000 or sterling or dollar equivalent. This new stage will also include those horses sired by a stallion standing outside of Europe (international stallion) not registered to the EBF in addition to the current nomination deadlines.

The European Breeders Fund is largely funded by stallion owners throughout Europe and has paid out over €100 million in added prizemoney since 1983.
